July 12th, 2013: New York City: The New York Vein Treatment Center is launching a new public health campaign about the importance of screening for vein diseases. The New York City Vein Center says vein diseases screening is a valuable tool for assessing a person’s risk of developing vein diseases and diagnosing current circulation issues.

Dr. Lev Khitin, a leading vein doctor at the New York Vein Treatment Center, encourages the public to undergo screening for vein diseases. “The tests used in vein diseases screening can help diagnose issues that do not always present symptoms prior to development of serious complications, including, for example, formation of thrombophlebitis.”

Dr. Khitin and the staff at New York Vein Treatment Center hope that this new campaign will encourage more people to undergo screening. The time spent taking these valuable tests will pay off in a better understanding of the individual’s current level of health.
The Vein Center is looking to social media to help spread the word about the importance of screening for vein diseases. This new campaign will take place primarily over Facebook and Twitter and will last throughout the month of July.

Varicose Vein Treatment Options

Varicose veins and spider veins are extremely common in men and women. While spider veins are very small, reddish veins on the surface of the skin, varicose veins are much larger, bulging, tangled veins that may appear bluish in color. Men and women suffer from varicose veins, although women are much more likely to have them.

Today, patients have access to a number of effective varicose vein treatment options. Advancements in technology and medicine have led to the development of safe, effective, minimally invasive treatment modalities that provide excellent, most importantly permanent results with no side-effects or downtime. Some of these modalities are foam- sclerotherapy and cryo-sclero, radio-frequency ablation, micro-phlebectomy, endovenous LASER obliteration and many others.
